New blog post on writing about home while at sea
We have published a new blog post on our research blog about Nineteenth Century British sailors and their writings about home in their personal logbooks. The blog post is written by Senior Lecture in English Literature at Liverpool John Moores University, Emily Cuming, who presented at our conference in November. Emily analyzes the logbooks of British merchant seafarers to understand their feelings, longings, and relationships to home while at the sea. Read the blog post here.
We have invited selected scholars, who presented at our conference ‘STAY HOME: New Perspectives on the Home’ in November 2022 to publish on our blog in 2023. This is the sixth post in a series of blog posts based on the presentations of the conference.
